Knicks Clean House, Create $40 Million In Cap Space

New York Knicks decided to remove six players from their roster, making $40 million in cap space in the process.

The Knicks decided to waive Taj Gibson, Elfrit Payton, and Wayne Ellington, while also declining the team option of $15.75 million on Bobby Portis.

New York also decided to decline the $1.7 million option of Theo Pinson and waived Kenny Wooten.
